Cancellations & Courtesy Calls

Over the past few months we have noticed we are getting a lot more “no shows” than usual – we had 13 missed appointments in just the past 30 days, and 4 of those were 2 hour + colour appointments. In an effort to minimize our loss of income from missed appointments, we are asking for at least 24 hours notice to rebook or cancel in order to give us the opportunity to book another client in at that time.

We have been running this small family business on Gabriola Island for the past 17 years, and we prefer to keep things simple and personal in order to maintain prices that are reasonable and affordable for all income ranges. We understand people sometimes have unavoidable things come up, and we really don’t want to start complicating things with automation, late fees, or pre-paid deposits.

We feel it’s more in the spirit of our fantastic supportive community to start doing courtesy calls the night before the following day’s appointments. Please note we will be calling from a personal cell phone from home, so it may show up as “no caller ID”.

A massive thank you to the majority of our clients who consistently come in for their appointments on time, or give us at least 24 hours notice when you can’t make it. It makes a huge difference to a small business like ours. We love you, Gabriola, and we appreciate your continued support.
